The WINSTAR 16x2 Character LCD Display WH1602W is a versatile 16x2 character LCD display designed for a wide range of embedded and industrial applications. This 16 character x 2 line LCD features dual pinout interfaces on both the top and bottom sides of the module for flexible integration.
This 16x2 LCD module has an outline size of 80.0 x 36.0 mm, a view area of 66.0 x 16.0 mm, and an active area of 56.2 x 11.5 mm. The diagonal size is 2.26 inches, and the maximum thickness is 13.5 mm. The module adopts a COB (Chip-On-Board) structure and includes four mounting holes on the PCB for easy installation.
Equipped with the ST7066 controller IC (or equivalent), the WH1602W supports the standard 6800 parallel interface by default. Optional SPI or I2C interfaces are available via the RW1063 IC, making it easy to integrate this 16x2 display into various systems. The default power supply is +5.0V, with a +3.0V version also available. Please note that when using 3.0V, the negative voltage must also be supplied at 3.0V. The LED backlight can be driven via pin 1 and pin 2, pin 15 and pin 16, or pins A/K.
This 16x2 character display is suitable for applications operating in temperatures from -20℃ to +70℃, with storage temperatures ranging from -30℃ to +80℃. It is ideal for use in industrial control panels, home appliances, medical instruments, telecom equipment, and measuring devices.
