Description

WH1602W is a 2.26-inch 16x2 character LCD display with a module dimension of 80.0 x 36.0 x 13.5 mm and an active area of 56.2 x 11.5 mm. The module adopts a COB (Chip-On-Board) structure and features 16-pin connection points along both the top and bottom edges of the PCB, as well as four mounting holes.

WH1602W uses the ST7066 controller IC or equivalent and supports a 6800 4/8-bit parallel interface as the default configuration. SPI and I2C interface options are available with the RW1063 controller IC. The default supply voltage is +5V, with a +3V version also available. The negative voltage option is available only with the +3V power supply.

The WH1602W series is available with the following interface configurations:

WH1602W: 6800 4/8-bit parallel interface (ST7066 IC)

The LED backlight is driven through the A/K terminals (Pin 15 / Pin 16).
