WH1602D is a 2.26-inch 16x2 character LCD display module with a 5x8 dot matrix format for each character and cursor support. The module measures 85.0 x 30.0 x 13.5 mm, with an active area of 56.2 x 11.5 mm. It adopts a COB (Chip-On-Board) structure and features a 14-pin dual-row connection layout on the left side of the PCB. The PCB also includes mounting holes for mechanical integration.
The supply voltage is +5V, with a +3V version also available. The negative voltage option is available only with the +3V power supply. The LED backlight can be driven through PIN1 and PIN2 or the A and K terminals.
The ST7066 controller is available with multiple character sets, including English/Japanese, Western European, Eastern European, Scandinavian European, Cyrillic (Russian), and Hebrew/Arabic. For applications requiring built-in Traditional or Simplified Chinese fonts, the WG14432D graphic LCD module is available as an alternative.
The WH1602D series supports a 6800 interface with the ST7066 controller IC. SPI and I2C interface options are also available with the RW1063 controller IC. The model configurations are listed below:
LED backlight options include blue, green, white, yellow-green, amber, red, and RGB.
