WH1602C is a 2.26-inch 16x2 alphanumeric LCD display module with a module dimension of 85.0 x 36.0 x 13.5 mm and an active area of 56.2 x 11.5 mm. The module features a 16-pin dual-row connection layout on the left side of the PCB. The display provides 16 characters x 2 lines and uses the ST7066 controller IC. The standard supply voltage is 5V, with a 3V option also available. When operating at 3V, the negative voltage is limited to 3V.
The ST7066 controller supports multiple character sets, including English/Japanese, Western European, Eastern European, Scandinavian European, Cyrillic (Russian), and Hebrew/Arabic. For applications requiring built-in Traditional or Simplified Chinese fonts, the WG14432A graphic LCD module is available as an alternative.
The WH1602C series is available with 6800, SPI, and I2C interface options. The corresponding models and controller ICs are listed below:
LED backlight options include blue, green, white, yellow-green, and red. The LED backlight can be driven through PIN1, PIN2, PIN15, PIN16, or the A and K terminals.
