WH1602BU is a 2.26-inch 16x2 character USB LCD display module with a module dimension of 80.0 x 36.0 x 13.5 mm and an active area of 56.2 x 11.5 mm. The module features LED backlighting and integrates an ST7066 LCD controller with a USB-to-UART bridge IC for direct USB connectivity.
The WH1602BU supports USB 2.0 Full Speed (12 Mbps) and CDC (Communication Device Class), allowing the host to communicate with and power the LCD module through the USB connection. It is compatible with Windows 7, 8, 10, and 11. The module shares the same mechanical dimensions as the WH1602BR (UART interface) and WH1602B (6800 interface), while the WH1602BU incorporates a USB receptacle for USB connection.
The module operates from a 4.5V to 5.5V supply, with 5V as the typical operating voltage. The operating temperature range is -20°C to +70°C, and the storage temperature range is -30°C to +80°C.
