Description

WH1601B is a 16-character x 1-line character LCD display module with a 2.36-inch diagonal. The module measures 85.0 x 28.0 x 13.5 mm, with an active area of 59.62 x 6.56 mm. It operates from a 5V supply and is compatible with 3V operation, with the negative voltage limited to 3V. The module is built on a PCB with mounting holes for mechanical integration.

The WH1601B uses a 6800 4/8-bit parallel interface by default with the ST7066 controller IC. SPI and I2C interface configurations are also available using the RW1063 controller IC.

The LCD is available in TN, STN, FSTN, and FFSTN types, with positive and negative display modes. LED backlight options include yellow-green, white, red, blue, green, amber, and RGB, and a version without a backlight is also available. The LED backlight can be driven through PIN1 and PIN2 or the A and K terminals.
