WH1601A is a 16-character x 1-line character LCD display module with a 2.36-inch diagonal. The module measures 80.0 x 36.0 x 13.5 mm, with an active area of 56.62 x 6.65 mm. It operates from a 5V supply and is compatible with 3V operation, with the negative voltage limited to 3V. The module is built on a PCB with mounting holes for mechanical integration.
The WH1601A uses a 6800 4/8-bit parallel interface by default with the ST7066 controller IC. For SPI or I2C interfaces, please select WH1601A1 or WH1601A2, respectively; both versions use the RW1063 controller IC. The available interface versions are:
The LCD is available in STN, FSTN, and FFSTN types, with positive and negative display modes. LED backlight options include yellow-green, white, red, blue, green, amber, and RGB, and a version without a backlight is also available. The LED backlight can be driven through PIN1, PIN2, PIN15, PIN16, or the A and K pins.
