WH1602LR is a 3.79-inch 2-line 16-character LCD display module with a module dimension of 122.0 x 44.0 x 13.6 mm and an active area of 94.2 x 20.0 mm. The PCB features four mounting holes and a 10-pin single-row connection along the bottom edge.
The WH1602LR integrates an ST7066U LCD controller and an onboard MCU. It supports a UART interface, with SPI and I2C communication selectable through jumper settings. The built-in MCU provides an instruction set for display control, allowing the host system to operate the LCD without directly using ST7066U controller commands.
The instruction set also supports command-based adjustment of LED backlight brightness and LCD contrast. The yellow-green LED backlight version uses side lighting.
The logic supply voltage ranges from 4.5V to 5.5V (5V typical). The operating temperature range is -20°C to +70°C, and the storage temperature range is -30°C to +80°C.
