WH1602M is a 2.26-inch LCD 1602 display module with a 16-character x 2-line format. The module measures 85.0 x 32.6 x 13.2 mm, with an active area of 56.21 x 11.5 mm. The PCB features four mounting slots and a 16-pin dual-row connection on the left side.
WH1602M uses the ST7066 controller IC or equivalent and uses a 6800 4/8-bit parallel interface by default. SPI and I2C interface options are available with the RW1063 controller IC. The default supply voltage is +5V, with a +3V version also available. The negative voltage option is available only with the +3V power supply.
The ST7066 controller is available with multiple character sets, including English/Japanese, Western European, Eastern European, Scandinavian European, Cyrillic (Russian), and Hebrew/Arabic.
The WH1602M series is available with the following interface configurations:
LED backlight options include yellow-green, blue, green, white, amber, and red. The LED backlight can be driven through PIN1, PIN2, PIN15, PIN16, or the A and K terminals.
