WH1602O is a 2.26-inch 16x2 character LCD module with a module dimension of 85.0 x 25.2 x 13.5 mm and an active area of 56.2 x 11.5 mm. The module adopts a COB (Chip-On-Board) structure and features a 14-pin dual-row connection on the right side of the PCB.
WH1602O uses the ST7066 controller IC or equivalent and uses a 6800 4/8-bit parallel interface by default. An I2C interface version is also available with the RW1063 controller IC. The supply voltage is 5V.
The ST7066 controller is available with multiple character sets, including English/Japanese, English/Western European, English/Scandinavian European, and English/Cyrillic (Russian). Hebrew/Arabic is also available as an option.
The default character size is 2.95 x 5.55 mm. A smaller character size of 2.95 x 4.35 mm is also available as an option.
The WH1602O series is available with the following interface configurations:
LED backlight options include yellow-green, blue, green, white, amber, and red. The LED backlight is connected through the A and K terminals.
