Description

WO1602B is a 16x2 COG Character LCD display module featuring the ST7032 controller IC with an I²C interface and a metal pin connection. The module measures 85.0 × 30.0 × 6.2 mm, with a 76.0 × 18.0 mm view area. It supports both 3 V and 5 V logic supply voltage (VDD) options and is designed for operating temperatures from -20°C to +70°C and storage temperatures from -30°C to +80°C.

The COG (Chip-on-Glass) construction provides a compact and low-profile module design, making the WO1602B suitable for embedded applications where installation space is limited.

The WO1602B series is available with multiple LED backlight color options, providing greater flexibility for different product designs. It is suitable for industrial equipment, security systems, medical devices, handheld instruments, and other embedded applications requiring a 16x2 character LCD with an I²C interface.

Interface Pin Function

Pin No. Symbol Level Description
1 VOUT   DC/DC voltage converter. Connect a capacitor between this terminal and VIN when the built-in booster is used.
2 CAP-   For voltage booster circuit(VDD-VSS)
External capacitor about 0.1u~4.7uf
3 CAP+
4 VDD 3.0/5.0V Power supply
5 VSS   GND
6 SDATA   (In I2C interface DB7 (SDATA) is input data.
SDATA and SCLK must connect to I2C bus (I2C bus is to connect a resister between SDATA/ SCLK and the power of I2C bus).
7 SCLK   (In I2C interface DB6 (SCLK) is clock input.
SDA and SCLK must connect to I2C bus (I2C bus is to connect a resister between SDATA/SCLK and the power of I2C bus ).
8 RST   RESET (Low active)
