WH1602P is a 2.26-inch 1602 LCD display module with a 16-character x 2-line format. The module dimension is 85.0 x 25.2 x 13.2 mm, with an active area of 56.2 x 11.5 mm. It adopts a COB (Chip-On-Board) structure and features a 14-pin dual-row connection on the left side of the PCB.
WH1602P uses the ST7066 controller IC or equivalent and uses a 6800 4/8-bit parallel interface by default. SPI and I2C interface options are also available with the RW1063 controller IC. The supply voltage is +5V.
The ST7066 controller is available with multiple character sets, including English/Japanese, English/Western European, English/Scandinavian European, and English/Cyrillic (Russian).
LED backlight options include blue, green, white, yellow-green, amber, and red. The LED backlight is connected through the A and K terminals.
STN positive and STN negative LCD modes are available, with transmissive and transflective polarizer options.
