The WH1602S is a reliable LCD display module 16x2, featuring a monochrome 16x2 character format and a COB (Chip-on-Board) structure. It is built with the ST7066 controller IC (or equivalent) and supports multiple interface options, with the default being a 6800 4/8-bit parallel interface. For additional flexibility, users can select from SPI or I2C interfaces, supported by the RW1063 IC.
This LCD module 16x2 operates on a standard 5V power supply, with an optional 3V version available. When using 3V, the negative voltage is limited to 3V. The WH1602S offers various backlight colors including blue, green, white, yellow-green, amber, and red, all utilizing white LEDs to ensure clear and bright visibility.
The LCD display 16x2 supports a wide range of character fonts and texts, including English/Japanese, English/West European, English/Scandinavian European, and English/Cyrillic (Russian). With a diagonal size of 1.88 inches, this display 16x2 module operates within a temperature range of -20℃ to +70℃ and can be stored at temperatures between -30℃ and +80℃, making it suitable for both industrial and consumer applications.
