The WH1602P is a 16x2 character LCD display module featuring a COB (Chip-On-Board) structure and an integrated ST7066 controller IC or equivalent. It operates at +5V and uses a default 6800 4/8-bit parallel interface. Optional interface configurations such as SPI or I2C are also available via the RW1063 controller IC.
This module supports a variety of LED backlight color options, including blue, green, white, yellow-green, amber, red, and white LEDs. The backlight can be driven via PIN13, PIN14, or A/K pins, offering flexible design integration.
The ST7066 controller supports multiple character font sets, including English/Japanese, English/Western European, English/Scandinavian European, and English/Cyrillic (Russian).
Ideal for industrial instruments, control panels, and other space-limited applications requiring clear text output.
