Description

WO12864L is a 2.24-inch 128x64 monochrome graphic COG LCD module featuring the ST7567A controller IC. It supports both SPI and I²C interfaces, which can be selected directly through Pin 2 (SI2), and operates from a 3 V power supply.

The module has the same outline dimensions, view area, and active area as the WO12864A1, while using a different controller IC and interface configuration. It operates with a 1/65 duty cycle and 1/9 bias.

With an operating temperature range of -20°C to +70°C and a storage temperature range of -30°C to +80°C, this graphic COG LCD module is available in an FSTN positive transflective version with a white LED backlight. Other LCD types and LED backlight combinations are also available upon request. Click Add to Inquiry above and specify your requirements in the inquiry message.

Compared with the WO12864A1, the WO12864L features an optimized peripheral circuit design that simplifies the external circuit implementation. The comparison below highlights the differences between the two designs. For new product designs, the WO12864L is the recommended option.

Interface Pin Function

Pin No. Symbol Description
1 ESD ESD
2 SI2 SI2 selects the interface type: I2C serial interface or not
SI2 Selected Interface
"L" Serial 4-Line SPI Interface
"H" I2C Serial Interface
3 VG VG is the LCD driving voltage for segment circuits
4 XV0 XV0 is the LCD driving voltage for common circuits at positive frame.
5 V0 V0 is the LCD driving voltage for common circuits at negative frame.
6 VSS GROUND
7 VDD POWER
8 SDA D[1:3] must be connected together as SDA.
D[4:7]=(1,1,1,1): ID Pin. D[4:7] should fix to “H” or “L” by VDDH or
VSSL.
9 SCL
10 A0 It determines whether the access is related to data or command.
A0=“H” : Indicates that signals on D[7:0] are display data.
A0=“L” : Indicates that signals on D[7:0] are command.
11 RSTB Hardware reset input pin. When RSTB is “L”, internal initialization is executed and the internal registers will be initialized.
12 CSB Chip select input pin. Interface access is enabled when CSB is “L”.
When CSB is non-active (CSB=“H”), D[7:0] pins are high impedance.
