Description

WH1604B is a 2.36-inch 16x4 character LCD module with a COB (Chip on Board) structure. It displays 16 characters x 4 lines in a 5x8 dot matrix format. The module measures 70.6 x 60.0 x 8.9 mm, with an active area of 56.2 x 20.8 mm. The connection pins are located along the top edge of the PCB.

The default interface is a 6800 4/8-bit parallel interface using the ST7066 controller IC. SPI and I2C versions are also available using the RW1063 controller IC. The operating temperature range is -20°C to +70°C, with a storage temperature range of -30°C to +80°C.

The WH1604B series supports multiple character sets, including English/Japanese, Western European, Eastern European, Scandinavian European, Cyrillic (Russian), and Hebrew/Arabic. Backlight color options include yellow-green, blue, green, white, amber, and red.
