The VATN version of WH1604A is a 2.36-inch 16x4 VATN character LCD display featuring 16 characters per line across four lines, with a 5x8 dot matrix per character. VATN (Vertically Aligned Twisted Nematic) technology provides a black background, high contrast, and wide viewing angles for displaying characters and equipment status information.
This 16x4 VATN LCD module features a COB (Chip-on-Board) structure with module dimensions of 87.0 x 60.0 x 13.6 mm (max.), a viewing area of 62.0 x 26.0 mm, and an active area of 56.2 x 20.8 mm. It incorporates the RW1063 controller IC, operates with a typical 5.0V logic supply, and supports an operating temperature range of -20°C to +70°C.
The display is available with red, green, blue, yellow-green, or white LED backlight options. Its negative-mode VATN display characteristics make it suitable for equipment requiring clearly visible characters and status information against a dark background.
