Description

The VATN version of WH0802A1 is a 1.18-inch 8x2 VATN character LCD display featuring 8 characters per line across two lines, with a 5x8 dot matrix per character. VATN (Vertically Aligned Twisted Nematic) technology provides a black background, high contrast, and wide viewing angles for displaying characters and equipment status information.

This 8x2 VATN LCD module features a COB (Chip-on-Board) structure with module dimensions of 58.0 x 32.0 x 13.2 mm (max.), a viewing area of 38.0 x 16.0 mm, and an active area of 27.81 x 11.5 mm. It incorporates the RW1063 controller IC, operates with a typical 5.0V logic supply, and supports an operating temperature range of -20°C to +70°C.

The display is available with red, green, blue, yellow-green, or white LED backlight options. Its negative-mode VATN display characteristics make it suitable for equipment requiring clearly visible characters and status information against a dark background.

The WH0802A1 VATN LCD series uses the RW1063 controller IC and offers three interface configurations to accommodate different host controller requirements:

WH0802A1: 6800 parallel interface (RW1063 IC, standard)
WH0802A2: SPI interface (RW1063 IC)
WH0802A3: I2C interface (RW1063 IC)
