Description

WH2002M is a 4.74-inch 20x2 character LCD display with 20 characters per line across 2 lines. It uses a COB (Chip on Board) structure and integrates an ST7066 LCD controller. The default configuration uses a 6800 4/8-bit parallel interface, while SPI and I2C versions are available with the RW1063 controller.

The module measures 146.0 x 43.0 x 13.7 mm, with a viewing area (VA) of 123.0 x 23.0 mm. The default supply voltage is 5V, with a 3V option also available. When using the 3V supply configuration, the negative voltage supply is limited to 3V. The operating temperature range is -20°C to +70°C, and the storage temperature range is -30°C to +80°C.

WH2002M is available with multiple LCD display modes, including positive gray, positive yellow-green, negative blue, and positive or negative FSTN options. LED backlight options include yellow-green, blue, green, white, amber, and red. Depending on the module configuration, LED backlight connections are available through PIN1/PIN2, PIN15/PIN16, or dedicated A/K terminals.

Versions using the ST7066 controller are available with multiple character font sets, including English/Japanese, Western European, Eastern European, Scandinavian European, Cyrillic (Russian), and Hebrew/Arabic.

For the standard 16-pin configuration shown below, the 6800 interface provides RS, R/W, E, and DB0–DB7 signal pins, with LED backlight power supplied through PIN15 (A) and PIN16 (K).
