The WH1601B is a 16x1 character monochrome LCD module featuring a COB (Chip on Board) structure. It displays 16 characters on a single line and is equipped with the ST7066 controller IC by default, supporting the 6800 4/8-bit parallel interface. Alternatively, it can be configured with the RW1063 controller IC to support SPI or I2C interfaces. The default operating voltage is 5V, with a 3V option available (note: when using 3V, the negative voltage supply is limited to 3V). The LED backlight can be driven via PIN1 and PIN2 or through A and K terminals. LCD panel types include TN, STN, FSTN, and FFSTN, with options for positive and negative polarizers. Various LED backlight colors are available, including yellow/green, white, red, blue, green, amber, RGB, or no backlight.
