Description

The VATN version of WH2004A is a 2.89-inch 20x4 VATN character LCD display featuring 20 characters per line across four lines, with a 5x8 dot matrix per character. VATN (Vertically Aligned Twisted Nematic) technology provides a black background, high contrast, and wide viewing angles for displaying characters and equipment status information.

This 20x4 VATN LCD module features a COB (Chip-on-Board) structure with module dimensions of 98.0 x 60.0 x 13.6 mm (max.), a viewing area of 77.0 x 25.2 mm, and an active area of 70.4 x 20.8 mm. The standard WH2004A configuration incorporates the ST7066U controller IC and a 6800 parallel interface. It operates with a typical 5.0V logic supply and supports an operating temperature range of -20°C to +70°C.

The display is available with red, green, blue, yellow-green, or white LED backlight options. Its negative-mode VATN display characteristics make it suitable for equipment requiring clearly visible characters and status information against a dark background.

The WH2004A VATN LCD series offers two interface configurations with different controller ICs to accommodate host controller requirements:
