WH0802A1 is a compact 8x2 character LCD module with module dimensions of 58.0 x 32.0 mm and an active area of 27.81 x 11.5 mm (1.18-inch diagonal). The module features an ST7066 controller IC or equivalent. The default supply voltage is 5V, with a 3V option also available. When using the 3V supply configuration, the negative voltage supply is limited to 3V. It is built on a PCB with mounting holes for mechanical integration.
The WH0802A1 is available with or without an LED backlight, with display color options including gray, yellow-green, and blue. The ST7066 controller supports multiple character sets, including English/Japanese, English/Western European, English/Eastern European, English/Scandinavian European, English/Cyrillic (Russian), and Hebrew/Arabic.
