Can I use 5V to light the backlight?

Please refer to the Backlight Information on our datasheet for the backlight condition. Use the formula V=IxR to calculate the RA value. In the example below, we take 5V as the customer's power supply and 3.5V as the typical voltage supply for the backlight with 48 mA of current. Using the formula below, we get the value of RA as 31.25Ω.
