New 8-inch HDMI TFT Display Series with Non-Touch, RTP, and PCAP Options

WINSTAR has launched a new 8-inch HDMI TFT display series featuring an 800 × 1280 IPS panel, designed for industrial, medical, and control system applications that require stable signal transmission and reliable display performance. The displays are designed for vertical (portrait) interfaces, offering an active area of 107.64 × 172.224 mm for clear readability and precise control layouts.

This series supports direct HDMI (DVI signal) input and integrates a control board to simplify system design and reduce development effort. The displays are driven by the LT6911C HDMI-to-display controller IC, providing consistent display architecture across all models. EMI pre-compliance evaluation has been conducted to support reliable system integration.

In extreme low-temperature conditions down to -40°C, TFT LCD displays can suffer from slow response, reduced contrast, or startup issues. These challenges appear in:

ITO Heating Film

  • Transparent conductive layer (≈85% transmittance)
  • Maintains low-temp operation for color TFTs
  • Reduces condensation and image latency

ITO Heating Glass

  • Higher transmittance (≈90%)
  • Excellent high-temp and environmental resistance
  • Superior long-term reliability

Performance & Validation

Internal tests show ITO heating film can raise display temperature by ~20°C in 240s, maintaining clear and reliable operation under extreme cold.
